The bar chart depicts various modes of transport used by the people of a European city over 40 years.
Overall, it can be seen that number of car users in 2000 and people who preferred walking in 1960 was almost the same whereas, by 1980, bus users were higher which contributed a quarter. Car travelers showed an upward trend on the other hand other transports experienced a downfall.
In 1960, the percentage of people who preferred walking was significantly higher than other transports 35%, whereas people traveled by car was accounted for 5%. Furthermore, by 1980, bus travelers made up a quarter whilst car users were slightly lesser than it. Bike users contributed one-fifth portion, as well as the pedestrians, were just below it. In the year 2000, car travelers were subsequently higher among all transport types while travelers by bike declined to 5%. Following this, bus travelers experienced a two-fold rise in 2000 than foot travelers.
