There are a lot of things around us that change, especially technology, but can people themselves change? The essay statement claims that after childhood, people do not really change but that their personality characteristics are permanent whatever happens, agree with this position for several reasons. Firstly, children develop a certain character and they keep that through aduit life. Expenence may show us new things but it doesn't change us. Secondly, the best proof is the fact that it is simply very difficult to change who you are. For example, a ari who prefers playing by herself will never become a sociable and extroverted woman. It could be said that this is a very negative arqument because it means that there is no pont trung to be a better person if everything about you is fixed. The logic goes that we should always look for improvement in ourselves and our relationshups and this would be impossible Aithout being able to develop as people. However, this position misrepresents the originai argument, in my opinion, While you can't completely change, there are some things you can control. The best example is bad habits like smoking - people do give them up. We are always in the position to influence our lives.
