That is, these associations have a viable human resource specializing in fundraising, thus more easily advocating community to lend a helping hand to the needy, compared to a single individual. For instance, annual charity events take place around the world to call for donations and appeal a huge amount of money for significantly contributing to charitable houses. On the other hand, the action of direct donation is favorable for several reasons. To commence with, direct help from donors contains not only financial but also mental assistance. Experience in contacting and communicating with the impoverished foster a sense of community, especially philanthropy that make the world better, in charitable givers. Additionally, donors can prevent falling victim to charity scams. It is not uncommon to witness a host of not transparent organizations that cause charity fraud cases relying on the generosity of benefactors to make money for themselves. Hence, the provision of direct help ensures that money or other non-cash items are delivered to the right people. In conclusion, while offering money to charitable associations help to widen the scope of donated activities, giving help directly to the poor or victims is also effective to contribute to social works.
