There is an increasing trend around the world to have a small family rather than a large family. What are some of the advantages and disadvantages of having a small family rather than a large family? ( no opinion)

Nowadays, in modern world, having a small family is more common than having a large family. I will discuss advantages and disadvantages in the following paragraphs. The first and main advantage is the best quality of education. To explain it further, patents will not face financial problems regarding their children. And they can provide the highest quality of education without facing any financial crisis. Higher education can be provided by them to their children. Furthermore, the second advantage is the guardians' attention. To put it simply, parents have 1 or 2 children. They can pay attention to their child and they can also give enough time and proper guidance to their child. Therefore, attention to the child and the quality of learning are benefits of a small family. Although having a small family also creates problems, the first problem is that patents face many difficulties in old age. In other words, in undeveloped and developing nations, young people prefer to work and study abroad, and they also like to live abroad. If a couple has only 1 or 2 children, they will face many difficulties in their old age. Their children are unable to care for their parents in their old age. Secondly, children also feel loneliness. In simple terms, in a small family, a couple has only 1 child. The child has no siblings to speak of and share feelings. A child feels alone without siblings. As a result, having a small family also creates demerits, such as when parents face problems in old age and when kids feel alone. To summarise, the trend towards having a small family creates merits and demerits. Merits like quality education and spending enough time with children, demerits like loneliness and parents' old age difficulties.
