The two bar charts compare the proportion of 3 different age groups in a population of Yemen and Italy in 2000 and 2050. In general, adults who are in 15-59 age group, has accounted for a large percentage in Yemen and Italy in both years. In addition, the population of elderly who ages 60 or above was the smallest in 2000, and the same condition is also predicted in 2050. Look at Yemen, exactly half of the population were adults aging 15-59 in 2000, which was the majority of the Yemen population. Nevertheless, it will drop to below one third of the population at 37% in 2050. On the contrary, the population of children and elderly has the opposite trend compared to adults, which their percentage in population will rise. In 2000, elderly only accounted for slightly less than half of the whole population at 47%. Then, in 2050, this age group will increase slightly to abouta third of the population at 57%. Similaly, the ratio of elderly in Yemen will also increase slightly despite them being the smallest proportion. In 2000, the population of elderly has only accounted for 3. 6%, then there will be a slight incrrease in 2050 to 5. 7%. As in Italy, around two third of the population were adults aging 15-59 in 2000, which meant they were the majority of the population at that time. Then, the ratio of this age group will shirnk to half of the population in 2050. Moreover, there has been a mild drop in the percentage of elderly population, from 14. 8% in 2002, to 11. 5% in 2050. However, unlike these two age groups, the proportion of adults has increased by a double, from slightly more than a quarter in 2000, to around half of the population in 2050.
