The maps illustrate the previous plan of ground floor of museum between 1990 and 2010.
It is clear that there are a number of changes happend the maps, mainly children’s interactive zone and a poster display area, while there was no plan to change natural history room and local history room. Looking at the maps in more detail, there was a archaeology gallery at the to right hand corner, which was replaced by a new two rooms children’s interactive zone and poster display area form 1990 to 2010. The gift shop on the top left hand corner was expanded to include cafe service, while a lift was built in 2010 to connect it with the natural history room. However, the natural history room and local history room remained unchanged over the period. For the remaining changes, rhe reception counter was attached to the museum office in 1990, while it was relocate and moved closer to the entrance.
