The count of car owners is increasing, that's why roads ought to be enlarged. Although some people believe the government should invest money on this purpose, I support other ones who think car users should spend money on it. There are some reasons why the government should pay money to make roads expand. One prominent reason is that citizens already pay road taxes, so it is a responsibility of the government to provide expand road facilities to public. To explain it, if people drive cars frequently, they pay money on toll plazas in form of vehicle tax which is one of the income sources of the government. For example, not only is Indian government charge a huge amount of money on toll gates from commuters but also utilise this money to make roads more better in size. Therefore, paying money to build expand roads is duty of the government. However, I believe car keepers should pay money for road improvement due to such reasons. One of them is that drivers of cars are the major cause who increase car numbers, and it also create congestion on roads. In other words, when they would have to pay money for roads, they may start to commute by public transports as well as give priority to car-pooling. As a result, traffic jams can decrease. Moreover, government has a lot of responsibilities such as education, healthcare and many more on its shoulder. So, vehicle owners should pay money for this purpose. In conclusion, while money is collected from car drivers in form of vehicle tax by the government, I still think that car users ought to pay money because roads are wider for their usage.
