News and Newspapers are an indispeable part of everyday life, because they keep us connected with outside world. Journalists are the main source to spread latest news flash to the public. In this essay I shall discuss whether or not we should believe the journalists, and explain characteristic of a good journalist.
In this digital era, the competition in the journalism industry is becoming more complex than even before. However, we have to believe the journalists because they are our only source of information. Sometimes they may spread ill-founded news just to sell their papers. On the whole, they are doing great service to us. They are a bridge between the government and the people. They shape our opinions. They make us feel part of global connectivity by keeping us in touch with it, and at times they even provide justice. For instance, in the Jessica murder case, it was because of the efforts of these journalists that politician son got punishment and Jessica’s family got justice.
However, there are still some honest reporters, they show the truth to their readers and have integrity and braveness to their work. The take their professional as responsibility to the public and not to fear for the danger. For example, 26/11 terrorist attack at Mumbai, it was these journalists who brought us the first-hand news. They even take the risks of their position to show the real news. Such reporters doing an excellent task to place the world at a better stage.
Summing up, We have to believe journalists because they bring us latest news because in the present era, many fake messages are available. However, some journalists people are doing their honest working to spread truth to ordinary people.
