A HOT DAY THAT TURNED INTO A BAD DAY
A HOT DAY THAT TURNED INTO A BAD DAY kExpK
I like watching the rain and snow. It makes me think about a lot of things in the world, and also makes me read novels and poems in the best way. Even though rain and lightning seem comforting and innocent, some things are not what they seem. I had an experience about it approximately 5 years ago and it totally changed my view about relying on weather conditions.
It was a summer day in summer. On that day, we went to our relatives’ house in the village. It was such a bright day that different varieties of flowers and plants were everywhere. After having lunch in the garden, I picked up daisies, poppies, and a few roses to draw. Then I prepared the table in front of the house and sat down. There was is just a little bit of sun on the table because of the roof above me, so I was in a good mood. I placed the flowers and the equipment, then started drawing. It had been four hours since I started drawing. I noticed that the weather began to change. The sun disappeared and the clouds covered the sky. All of them happened as if in a minute. Then I heard a strong thunder. It scared me but not much because I was kind of used to variable weather conditions. Then I heard some other another thunder. This one was really severe. I also saw some a fairly strong and bright light. It was like blinding. Afterwards, it started raining cats and dogs, and it got faster. The water was running from everywhere. I was shocked and scared. Immediately I ran home and watched what happened through the window with everybody. After a while, the rain turned into hail. It was horrible! The pieces of ice were like a tennis ball! It was lightning and hailing in addition to thunder. About five or ten minutes later, everything was gone. The clouds began to separate from each other so the rain stopped. When we left the house to look around, the sky looked clear, but pieces of ice that the size of a tennis ball were everywhere. Later, everybody continued what they were doing, but it took a long time for me to go on what I was doing.
After this event, I had other similar incidents, but I couldn’t get used to not being scared from rainy weather. Now, whenever I hear thunder or see some a light in the sky, it scares me rather than comfort me.
