The graph illustrates the sales of music between the year of 2009 and 2019. It presents three different musical genres: Jazz, Pop and Korean Pop.
Overall, both Jazz and Korean Pop has grown in sales in recent years, with Korean Pop bearing the most positive fluctuation. Jazz has also gained an increase sale starting in around 2014, while the downturn for the pop industry began in 2011.
In 2009, the most favorite genres was pop with a 250 million sales recorded that year. Pop was then followed by Korean Pop with 150 million sales as well as Jazz with 100 million sales. While jazz genres has grown steadily to rival pop in 2019, sales of Korean Pop in the other hand has skyrocketed from 150 milion sales in 2009 to 500 million sales in the year of 2019, which is an 350 million sales increase.
In contrast, the sales of Pop music has been seen declining rapidly since the year of 2011. It has seen a decrease of more than 100 million sales and has continued to be stagnant, with the sales of just 150 milion. In short, Pop music has experienced a 40% decrease since its recorded sales in 2009.
