Every contemporary society has been altered by technological advancements, including the way we acquire knowledge. You can find answers to any question in a short amount of time by visiting the Internet. However, I still believe that online learning will never be able to completely replace traditional learning and teaching style in classroom. On the one hand, students can study at their own pace and at a lower cost when they take an online course. They will study the courses and subjects they want at home. This provides learners with a great opportunity to learn new skills and broaden their experience while remaining in their own privacy. For example, a Vietnamese student interested in pursuing a marketing course in Britain now does not need to move to Britain because he can study online and complete the his studying from the comfort of his own house. Therefore, distance learning saves money and time. On the other hand, online learning is a drawback itself. Since you have no one to monitor your work or review your results, you will need a lot of encouragement and discipline to finish your course. Distractions are a serious issue for students enrolled in online programs. Because when students study online, they are easily distracted by a range of social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, and others. For instance, they often visit twitter and facebook message boxes to chat with others while they are online. In contrast, many of these disadvantages do not exist in classroom learning that provides a physical learning environment. You’re in a room with other students who want to enhance their grades as well, so this motivates you to work even harder. In conclusion, it is undeniable that the internet along with information technology offer limitless opportunities, and using internet would help students greatly. However, despite benefits of online education, I still believe that classroom learning is still more superior.
