The COVID-19 affected my student life
The COVID-19 affected my student life r96
The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by a new coronavirus, has significantly changed millions of people's lives worldwide, as well as students, in about a few months. Furthermore, the number of students at all grade levels have been required to sit at home due to the closing of their educational institution and learn online which is challenging for students. The lockdowns increased e-learning all over the world and as expected, it reduced the internet connection. Additionally, it affected not only student's grades but also their physical and mental health and understanding of the subject itself.
For instance, learning online is hard for me in a way that e-learning requires self-motivation and also it needs to manage the time always. From 9 am till the evening, sitting in one place is demanding and after the lessons, I have no motivation to learn or do homework at all. It is important also to mention the lack of social communication/interaction since it plays a key role in the learning process overall, I think. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, every place where we can meet with our friends and spend some time together is also closed. The COVID-19 caused social isolation all over the world and limited social interaction to the minimum.
Overall, this pandemic has changed the world meaningfully, including the teaching process. At first, I thought that learning at home is better rather than face-to-face learning but now I understand the importance of communication between teachers and students. As a student, I want to say that the pandemic affected my life, changed it so much and I hope that everything will be better soon.
