process of making pulp and paper
process of making pulp and paper 1wy
The pictures illustrate how pulp and paper are produced.
Overall, it is divided to two processes of manufacturing pulps from trees and transforming pulps into paper.
Initially, the trees are cut into logs. After being cut, logs are chipped and digested with purchased chips, where the mixture of both turns to pulp. The pulp is then washed with washers and put through pulp screen, as a result the clean pulp is produced.
These clean pulp can be used in two ways: either to make rough paper for boxes or refined paper for printing. To manufacture paper for boxes, clean pulp is put to a pulp former, after which it is dried and goes through a reel. Once the pulp is cleaned, it is cut into paper bales.
Alternatively, to make refined paper, pulp is first cleaned and dried. After that, pulp is put under a pressure, after which it is dried once more. Finally, the paper rolls are ready for printing.
