The bar chart compares the proportion of males and females who engaged with seven different leisure time activities in England in the year 2006. Overall, it is clear that man dominated in all activities, except from shopping and spending time with family. Both genders spent the least amount of their free time on playing computer games in a given year. In detail, average four-fifth of man and woman spent most of their free time on watching TV and with their family in 2006. Doing sport exercise and reading were next on the list, nearly 70% women and average three-quarter men engaged with this activities. Totally, males spent more time compared to females. In 2006, there was significant difference between percentage of men and women who did shopping(74% and 30% respectively), using the internet and playing computer games. In contrast, while women dominated by man in shopping, almost doubled number of men use it the internet then women at 73%. Playing computer games was least on the list with only around 15% men and 8% women.
