The table gives information about the percentages of student’s presence in terms of four secondary school sorts, namely Specialist, Grammar, Voluntary-controlled and Community Schools, in three years 2000, 2005 and 2009.
Overall, the rate of student participation in Community Schools was likely to surge quickly. While the amount of pupils to go to Voluntary-controlled Schools tended to drop rapidly in the period of time research.
In 2000, it is clear that the figure for learner’s attendance at Voluntary-controlled Schools was the highest to point at 52%, followed by Grammar Schools at 24% and about 12% the numbers of schoolchild at Specialist and Community Schools. The proportion of pupils’ participation has gone down sharply in 2009, at 20%. A similar trend was seen halve to 12% at Grammar Schools compared with the year 2000. By contrast, the figure for presence of students at Communication Schools has increased to 32% in 2005 and reached the highest point of 58% in 2009.
