Some People Work For The Same Company
Some People Work For The Same Company 8Alkx
According to what I see around me and, in the company, where I work, more and more young people change the organization every three or five years, while the employees over fifty years old have been working for the same organisation since the end of their training and plant to stay there all their working life. Both these views will be critiqued before reaching a reasoned conclusion.
First of all, in the 1960s, people were not prepared to move to another city or country to work. So they did internships and training in companies where they stayed for all their working life. However, nowadays, with the technological evolution and the globalisation. Young people are constantly looking for something new and do not want to work in the same field and the same thing for several years.
Secondly, by staying with the same organisation, we gain much more experience in the field. This gives us the value of being recognized as an expert. But changing companies allows us to get a much higher salary than staying in the same company.
Finally, protection against dismissal; in Germany, for example, employees who have been working in the company for more than ten years cannot be dismissed unless the company goes bankrupt. And the credibility; to obtain certain credits, banks look at whether we are responsible and trustworthy people. And the stability is not considered if we constantly change the organisations
To conclude, although we explored more the advantages of working for the same organisation, from my point of view, I think that changing after five years in a company allows us to be as active in research and gives us many options in life. It will not be a problem for us if the company goes bankrupt. Nowadays, freelancing is generally more common.
