Some people think that the government should fund music, dance and art lessons for children. Others think that they should be funded by private businesses or by children’s families. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Some people think that the government should fund music, dance and art lessons for children. Others think that they should be funded by private businesses or by children’s families. B0yyX
Children need a channel to express their creativity and arts, music and dance are a great way to do so. Introducing these lessons into the curriculum are a great way to give kids a break from difficult subjects, nurture innovation and promote cultural heritage. While some people believe that these lessons should be funded by the government, others argue that private corporations and parents should pay for them. In this essay, I will examine both the views and share my opinion on why I think private organisations and parents should bear the expenses of these classes. Those who argue that the government should fund these lessons believe that not all parents can afford to enrol their children into such programmes. This initiative will help young learners benefit from these lessons, which otherwise would not be possible for them. Furthermore, it will motivate kids to find what interests them and opt for creative fields to pursue as a career. It will also promote the entertainment and art industry, bringing in new talent. On the other hand, many people believe that instead of investing money on these arts classes, government should focus on promoting quality education to every child. Because when lessons are provided free of cost, children and parents don’t value them. Therefore, a better alternative would be introducing various electives into the curriculum and let the children choose subjects based on their interests. In my opinion, rather than bearing the costs of music, dance and arts lessons, authorities should emphasise on providing quality education to every child. Young students should be granted freedom to choose from a range of optional subjects as per their preferences. This will allow them to explore their field of interest, express themselves and get a break from the academic stress and pressures. To conclude, I believe that there are many children who cannot go to schools due to financial constraints. Since the future lies in the hands of the youth, the budget for the educational sector should be increased to foster an educated and responsible future generation. This way, quality education can be provided to students and other lessons can also be incorporated into the curriculum.
