Many people go through life doing work that they hate or have no talent for. Why does this happen? What are the consequences of this situation?

Working as an adult or young adult is something vital in this generation, especially when it is your goal to make lots of money. Many people end up with jobs that are not in their liking and this happens due to many reasons. The main reason for someone to dislike their work is usually because their parents forced them to take such a career to full fill their own desires without thinking of the child, if they like it or dislike it. This situation is really common especially in Asian countries. Most of the parents want their kids to become doctors or lawyers, whether the child likes that profession or not, they might be forced to choose such a field. If the child does not like the field the parents are choosing and the child tries to persuade them into choosing the field they like, the parents usually become strict or restrict any activities that can let them enjoy their time and ensure that they are studying in advance hoping for them to take interest in that field. Nevertheless, there are consequences for such parenting actions. The child could become rebellious, they may not listen to the parents and even try to escape the house, or the child would accept their parents decision, but that would led to ruining their mental health, ruining their mental health can cause them to start smoking or doing drugs at a young age just to escape reality. Study shows, that the suicide rate among young people in Japan is very high just because of the pressure that is on the students to study for their exams as the parents have high hopes from them to score well. In my opinion, such parenting should be avoided in the near future and parents should start looking for the talents in their children in order to choose the suitable career for them to avoid such consequences.
