Working is the part of livelihood. Each country has their own protocols regarding the eligibility of work for elderly people. Due to changes in the health care system life expectancy is risen day by day. Even though, it is the positive change, but it still brought up the discussion whether older people retire at certain age or they can work until they wish too work. I would like to discuss about this along with my point of view in the following paragraphs.
On the one hand, aged people should retire at certain age because in every workplace has some eligibility criteria which is not appropriate for all age groups. For instance, physical fitness to lift some heavy material is not for the old people. Moreover, all the jobs have their own specific eligibility which can be difficult for elder people.
However, it is beneficial for government if aged population can work until they want to work, because it can reduce the burden of government regarding the pensions and other benefits like free health care. This can also a relief for younger people who pay more taxes, so government can help financially to the aged people. Moreover, older people can enjoy and be more independent at that age. For example, they can be more physically active and productive rather than spending whole day at coffee shop and wondering about the day.
To sum up, I think people can work according to their own willingness rather than retiring at certain age because it can be lucrative for government as well as for the person
