According to many, the only way of happiness is having wealth. This essay discusses how the consumption of basic and luxury items can make people happy; thereafter, this essay clarifies why winning the love of people is vital in society.
To begin with, enjoying money is a very important factor for many people, which is mostly spent on basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter and luxury items. The citizens of the developed economies spend a lot of wealth to fulfil these basic needs and also on luxury items to buy happiness. Finland, for example, has been considered one of the happiest countries in the world where people do spent huge amounts of money on luxury items, according to the purchase index data from the World Bank. In addition, the people of these rich countries spent a significant portion of money to safeguard their wealth so that they can enjoy this happiness for a longer period of time.
In contrast, the love of the common people in society is vital. Love ensures a sustainable society; therefore, the rich distributes their wealth to the member of society, who are living in a poor conditions or less fortunate compared to the rich. Consequently, it assists to the equal distribution of wealth in society. That is why many wise people did not own a lot of wealth as they find that the love of people is the most important thing on earth. Bill Gates, for instance, has distributed over 80% of his wealth to the poor as he believes in a equal society. Thus, he has won hurt of many people in the planet.
In closing, the consumption of wealth makes many people happy as it provides lots of comfort to the rich. On the other hand, real happiness can only be achieved by winning the love of common people, which can be done by donating wealth, in my view.
