People who have original ideas are of much greater value to society than those who are simply able to copy the ideas of others well. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Many people are of opinion that a society can benefit more from such individuals who have the potential of coming up with new undiscovered ideas, as compared to people who simply just replicate successful ideas. However, I hold a different opinion, and I think that copying ideas can also have numerous advantages. There are multiple reason due to which I believe that copying an idea can also be equally beneficial. We can consider the example of rolling water cans. This idea was introduced by a UN funded charity organization in Africa, which eased the process of bringing water from remote areas. This same idea was adopted in one of the dessert of Pakistan, and it helped the women population of that area to a great extent. Hence, copying an idea can have a lot of positive outcomes for a society as well. Furthermore, we can consider the example of China. Not very long ago, China was famous for replicating other countries products. Now, China have the most number of rich people, and their GDP is gowing at an exponential rate. Moreover, they are now heavily invested in research & development as well, and China has registered most patents in this last year. So, other coutries can learn from China as they were initially copying other people ideas but now they are leading the global charts for coming up with huge number of original ideas. In conclusion, copying an idea is not a bad thing at all, and it can have great benefits for any society as well. Infact, it can be more wise to copy an idea because it will have less chances of failure.
