In these days eatables are sold by agriculture workers in different markets for earning money. On contrary, few one consider that public must consume those foodstuffs which are produced in their locality due to, protecting nature and economy. In my perspective, it has more demerits than its merits. This essay will further demonstrate my views for favoring the negative impact of the trend.
To commence with, consuming locally produced eatables does not provide us all kind of nourishment. If people will just eat those food which are available near their house then how they will consume other foodstuffs for increasing their health. Furthermore, purchasers will evolve the finance of economy by buying crops from agriculturalist. For purchasing those crops they have to pay taxes to administration. Consequently, this will assist in development of a country. For instance, according to the article of Hindustan times “last year roughly 40% of the food crops are exported to other countries from India, which raised the peak of Indian GDP”.
On the other hand, buying eatables from other regions increases the pollution in a particular location. When food travels thousands of miles from farmers then it shows growth in air pollution owing to transportation and use of vehicles. For example, in a Google survey it was mentioned that most of the farmers moved to different cities for selling their food items which contributed 1% in global warming.
To sum up, consuming eatables from all over the world is a smart decision for public health as well as for growth of a nation rather than, eating locally produced foods. Consequently, in spite of pros which can make living harder, the cons for this trend overtake it.
