Economic development is obviously one of the top priorities of any government
across the globe. While some individuals believe this growth has a seriously
harmful impact on the environment, some people advocate that this
development is the only solution to stop poormess poverty shortage and
starvation.
On the one hand, there are two main reasons why it is claimed that the
environment is negatively affected by the economic growth. Firstly, when a
country focuses on growing its economy, there are definitely more factories and
plants are built in that country. It necessitates the combustion of fossil fuels
which releases an excessive amount of carbon dioxide into the environment.
Inadditionally, factories' discharge of effluents contaminated water sources. For
instance, the waste-water emission sewage disposal of a foreign company located
in Dong Nai province of Viet Nam in recent years has resulted in the mass death
of fish in Dong Nai river.
On the other hand, I claim that the deveploment of economic. Firstly, a wealthy
economy creates more job opportunities that allow each citizen to easily seek for
stable careers and have a decent income. Moreover, the government can provide
funding to the poor and the people who are homeless if there is a huge economic
growth in the state. These people can afford their basic living expenses with the
money given from the country. Besides, the steadily economic growth also can
give the poor children free chance to receive education, which may make them
obtain good salary when they grow up and escape from the poverty. Compared to
economic growth, the technology development can also prevent poverty and
hunger from happening or arising. For example, the production of crops will
increase if scientists obtain huge innovation on some machines which are benefit
to the agriculture. From these three points, economic growth can not only end
the poverty and famine, but also can generate a good cycle in the society.
In conclusion, I would reaffirm that although the rapid development of economy
may have an adverse influence on the Earth, I believe this growth effectively helps
to increase the nation's growth and tackle the problem of impoverishment.
