Symphysodon, well known as Discus, is a genus of cichlids native to the Amazon River basin in South America. They have known as The King of Aquarium for over years. Due to their distinctive shape, behavior, color and pattern, discus are very popular as freshwater aquarium fish.
The shape of discus is cylindrical with high fins both in dorsal and anal. As well as their color and pattern there is a plethora of combination in colouration and pattern. Due to the fact of their body shape, sexual differences are unknown.
