Some people do not allow their children to participate in games, sports or competitions unless everyone gets a prize. Others think that children must learn to deal with winning and losing in order to be fully prepared for life. Discuss both these views and give your opinion.

Some people do not allow their children to participate in games, sports or competitions unless everyone gets a prize. Others think that children must learn to deal with winning and losing in order to be fully prepared for life. GWQ8g
Competition is an opportunity where children test and show their skill against another in the field they are focusing on either that are game or sports competitions. Competition is not only teaching fair play and teamwork in some cases but also teaches children to accept every fair result between winning or losing. Yet some people argued that children should participate only when all the participants get a prize, which in most cases only the winners can get. For some parents or guardian of children thinks that prize is something everyone should have because they have already done their best and should be 'praised' with the present. They expect the children will not feel left out if they do not win the competition considering they all get the prize. Yet this method could lead the children to not do their best in the game because there is nothing special with the prize. On the other hand, a competition where only the winners get the prize will make the children go with more effort and come up with other brilliant ideas on how to win the game fairly. The winners would feel proud and plan to keep up their work for another competition yet the losers do not need to feel small and try their best for their next competition. This would teach them how to accept things and keep on trying their best later in life even after winning or losing. An everyday example can be seen as small as when students get scores after a test or quizzes. Some teachers would like to give them star for students who get the perfect score while the other only get marks. The student without a star in their score might feel sad for a while but they would want to do their best on their next test if they deal with it positively. A competition where the present is not being specialized enough will not trigger any significant improvement in children and it will not give them other soft skills other than skills they already have. In contrast, a competition with a prize only for the winner would cause sparks to the competitor and make them do their best in every condition.
