In these hectic days, there has been a great deal of discussion about happiness. Some believe that celebrating the present is more important than preparing for the upcoming days. I would neither agree nor disagree because both are important to me and this essay shall accumulate the reasons for my opinion.
To commence with, nowadays people are more worried about their future including myself and this is because of the present circumstance. Compared to the past, people in this era have only few choices for the upcoming years, ie. career or job opportunity which eventually makes them more responsible. They must make their decisions wisely. Secondly, small plans for the future like saving money, taking insurance could be helpful for people to encounter problems such as shortage of money or hospital expenses.
On the other hand, people should also enjoy the present because it is irrefutable that happiness is needed in everyone's lives and worrying about the future would not gain us anything, rather than that people should celebrate the present and parallely they should also fulfill the necessities for their future so that they can enjoy their future also. Lastly, the future is a thing we have not experienced so living the present and gathering beautiful memories are important in an individual’s life.
To sum up, I would conclude saying both enjoying the present and planning for the future have equal shares in one’s life.
