It is often said that a mother is a child's first teacher. A baby's developement begins at home at a very young age. Home is the place where a child learns to walk, to eat and to speak his first words. If a child who knows nothing about languages, observes his parents and learns to frame sentences at home, then why shouldn't he continue his futher development at home? The parents would want nothing more than seeing their child in a safe place like home and yet be able to learn all there is to learn. With the ever growing population, schools have started accomodating more than 60 students in one class. This makes it impossible for the teacher to be able to give equal attention to all her students. There are times where the students do not understand the concepts and it is not possible for the teacher to resolve queries raised by so many students. In this scenario, home tutoring sounds like a most viable option, where a child can focus on his growth and the tutor can give his complete efforts to make his pupil understand. Having said this, the concept of home tutoring has a major drawback. A child in his development days gets isolated from everyone his age and is sure to miss out on the overall development which only a school can provide. He can loose touch of being a team player and he can even miss on all the wonderful experiences of making friends. Home tutoring can also make a person introvert which can might cause some social anxieties to rise up. Looking at both the pros and cons of teaching children at home, I feel studying in the school is extremely important for a childs overall development. A school helps nuture a young child and shapes his future in a way that no home schooling will ever be able to do. Some students end up making friends in the school that last their entire life. For all the good reasons, I feel it is extremely important for the children to go to a school.
