Some people believe that all children should have a pet or an animal to look after. Other people disagree, however, saying that this depends on a child’s circumstances. Consider these opposing views and give your own opinion

People have different views about whether children should own a pet or it only relies on the circumistances to look after a pet. While, some people claim that taking care of a pet has many positive impacts on children, I believe that domestic animals should be owned under some specific conditions. On the one hand, There are a number of root reasons why some are of the opinion that looking after a pet will improve the children mentally. Fristly, the domestic animals like dog or cat require responsibility from children, because, dogs and cats need the regular feeding and playing games with owner, otherwise they may become unhappy. Secondly, pets might be bought to get rid of loneliness. For instance, a child who does not have any other siblings will be alone, if his parents do office work and the household chores, and so, this pet reduce the feeling of loneliness, while the parents are working. On the other hand, there are, however, other who express doubts on this approach. Their suggestion is that there are many people have an allergy for animal hair, and if a person relapsed when approach the pet, it would be unnecessary to keep a pet. Moreover, keeping animal at home or garden needs many regular items and expenses to meet its requirements which can be financial problem for needy family. For instance, keeping a cat has many regular and single expenses like food, rope for shortening nails, vaccines, and special comb which cannot be paid by these families. In conclusion, after looking at these two opposing points of views, it is felt that it is wrong to impose all children to keep pet, owing to the medical and financial reasons. Therefore, I strongly agree with the poeple who are against the obligation of keeping a pet.
