Some people believe school children should be given multiple short vacations, while others believe they should get one long vacation. Give the advantages of both and express your own point of view.

Opinions diverge greatly into two camps. First of them of the opinion that school children should have a number of small holidays during the year, while others believe that pupils should get only one, probably summer, long holidays. This essay will discuss number of benefits for both views. On the one hand there are some explanations why children need to have short, but frequently vacations. First of them is that children at school usually have a large amount of different subjects plus some extra lessons, where they spend their “free” time. That is why pupils do not have enough time for rest during the studying weeks and this type of holidays can be beneficial for them to live their real live and spend time with friends and family. Moreover, if their family want to go somewhere to the sea or another type of trip, children would not miss lessons at school, because of parents’ wants. On the other hand, there are also a few benefits, why students need to have only one, but long, holidays during the studying year. First advantage of such lifestyle is that students will be prepared for the adult life. For example, most of the people, who works in offices usually have only one vacation per year. Secondly, students can be taught how important is rest and will know how to plan their time during the weeks for not to be so exhausted. In conclusion, after analyzing two camps, I am of the opinion, that while pupils are little, they should have an ability to rest more, because in their adult life they, probably, will not have such opportunity.
