Some people say that when deciding how taxes should be spent, governments should prioritise health care. Other people say that there are more important priorities for tax-payers' money. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Income tax is the primary of cash flow for the federal governments. To invest in the medical sector, it requires a high levels of funding to ensure its finest. While some citizens feel that the health care services are the major priority, others believe that the government should prioritize on other services such as education. Government investment in health has a strong multiplier effect throughout the economy in addition to enhancing the population’s well-being. Underfunding in health sector can lead to spread of diseases. Indonesia, for instance, during the covid 19 outbreak when the cases hit its peak, Some hospitals do not have enough ventilators and isolation rooms. As the results, some hospitals fail to carefully assess patients’ condition and allocate them to inappropriate rooms for treatment. On contrary, there are a huge reason why the governments should spent the taxes on healthcare. Spending on improving health outcomes builds human capital. Healthier adults need less time off work and are more productive at work. Healthier children are more likely to complete and perform better in school. This leads to a virtuous cycle where they are more likely to grow into higher skilled adults with better incomes. All these things improve the country’s productivity which ultimately leads to economic growth. Despite investing in healthcare, it is also important to spent on other service which is education. For example, scholarship or fully funded for those who are unable due to financial matters to further their education, given the chance for all young generations to develop more of their knowledge equally. Moreover, for the students who seems promising and capable, the government itself can offer them free tuition fees in return they are mandatory to work in their current country which benefits the country to sustain their growth. In conclusion, funding in either healthcare or education are both equally important for the development of the country. In my opinion, the governments should also fairly funds on other services aswell to maintain their stability.
