The bar chart above demonstrates the passing rate of high school students in the competency exam between 2010 and 2011. The chart recorded the percentage of each subjects as boys and girls.
According to the bar chart, the subjects most students passed is foreign languages, mathematics and computer science which has passing rate more than 40%. Even though most passing rate between girls and boys was not very different but the gender with higher passing was girl except for geography.
Also, you can see that in chemistry and computer science, the percentage of passing girls was obviously higher than boy’s by more than 15%. As for geography subject, the boy’s passing rate was about 10% higher than girl’s percentage.
Overview, girls tend to passed the exam more than boys, this was obvious from the computer science and chemistry, however there was passing rate of boy which was higher than girls’s which is geography.
