Some people argue that higher taxes should be collected from industries causing higher industrial pollution. Whereas others argue there are better ways to deal. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

There are different views that higher taxes on industries should be implemented by the government in order to decrease pollution. While some people agree that it is the best policy for reducing the polluted environment, I agree that there are a wide range of other efficient policies.
On the one hand, the supporters of applying a high tax on factories have two main reasons. Firstly, they think factories play an indispensable role in creating environmental problems. In other words, when damaging the environment, factories should pay for their wrong deeds. Take India Coal which is the largest producer of coal in India as an example, it has successfully re-engineered the coal production process, as a result of strict financial repercussions from the government.
Moreover, the money gathered from taxes could be utilized in research activities of reducing the amount of pollution.
On the other hand, I believe a more proactive approach would involve funding green industries. That is to say, the more fund they receive, the more effective it will be. A good illustration of this is Tesla. It has received billions in government subsidies to build stability for the green industry. Furthermore, they are not solely responsible for the degrading condition of this planet. Every individual is contributing to increasing pollution. Therefore, we all should work hard for the betterment of nature.
In conclusion, although it might seem rational to increase taxes on industries, I think investing in green industries could be more reasonable.
