Currently more and more people respect elders and become convinced that older people should live with their families, which is in contrast to the view that older people should live at a nursing home. What is your opinion?

In some recent years, people started to increase their respect for elderly people that makes them believe that elders had better spend their life with their families; while the other opposite notion claim that nursing home would be a better choice for them. In my perspective, I achieve that living with their families would be better for elder people. On the one hand, living with family provides the old with more love, closeness and happiness. First of all, feeling of pleasure would realize better when old people staying with their own family. Due to getting in touch with their family members, they will not find themselves facing with isolation and that would be an effective way to prevent eleders from mental illness. Furthermore, thanks to living close with their children, old people would be able to help them with some chores which also keeps them far away from boredom. For instance, in some family, the grandparents can take care of their grandchildren while their kids are working and that solution is such a better way to look after the children compare to purchasing for a babysitter. To some extent, nursing home would be a place where old people get more care and friends. Inherently, if old people stay in these type of accommodation, they will have more attention than at home. As development of society, the young would be more busy with their work and study from day to night, people would not have enough time to care about the need of their parents and that treat elders severely. Take medical problem as an example, majority of old people are now facing with old illness such as heart diseases and stroke. Therefore, if they suddenly had a serious problem with their health and there were no one near them, they would be damaged horribly. In addition, since meeting variety of people at the same age with them, old people will be able to widen their relationships, make more friends and spending the rest of their life with joyfulness with their peers. To summary, it seem to me that living with family would be more practical for elder people through mentioned reasons.
