In some countries, top athletes are chosen to train with specialized facilities for an international purpose while not offering the same facilities to everyone. In my opinion, I think this is a negative development in the sports community and this essay will discuss why everyone should be treated equally in the sports. It is undeniable to accept that top players should be practiced with excellent facilities during their practice. In order to compete with other international athletes, they deserve to train with the best equipment and coaches. Therefore, many countries favor their top athletes and provide with all the best things so that those players will more likely to be prepared and win for their countries. At the same time, other sport players at a national or regional levels and even regular sports enjoyers are treated differently in terms of facilities and felt unfairly. Apparently, only a small number of people are interested in sports and this may be because of the above development in sports society. Many people may lack encourage and support when they are not recognized and provided with the special facilities like the way their countries treat to a few top athletes. Taking an example, one of the researches published by Harvard university described that the number of people who has interest in sports declined significantly to 35% over a decade. Having said that, many people should realize that there should not be any discrimination and equal facilities and services should be opened to everyone. As a result, sports people will be motivated and satisfied with their trainings. To sum up, even though it is important to provide premium facilities to train top athletes, there should not be luck in providing the same way to others in the sports industry.
