Every community has its own regulations which helps the society to function properly. A legal system is established so the criminal can be kept in check. I unequivocally agree that the humankind can exist peacefully only if the law is present.
The rules and laws make one of an indispensable pillar in any society, country, community, and various organization. If individuals are given free will it can actually lead the chaos as well as a rise in criminal activities. Societal rules are equivalent to the moral compass that guides individuals in the correct direction. For example, during the first world was there were provinces that any state authority which eventually lead to disastrous gang wars in the period that followed. The residents had to bear with it for over a decade under the notorious authorities.
Furthermore, for the peaceful co-existence of hundreds of countries, cultures, and communities law enforcement is mandatory. Laws promote not only civilized living but also give the sense of justice. In addition, throughout history, it can be observed that barbaric societies while condemned and looked down upon. Most of these wild societies now only exist in historical texts. The descendants are now a part of the current law-abiding society.
In conclusion, any society that doesn't have a concrete system of law and order to maintain justice among its people is doomed. Law not only provide security but keeps the evil at bay, therefore, every organization has its own policies that must be followed.
