According to the research done, there is a huge increase in employment of workers who are of 65 years and above. You should maintain the older employees because of the following reasons. The older employees have vast knowledge and experience in handling the company operations. They have amassed great experience over the years that is hard to teach or transfer. These senior workers can think over issues in the company better. They work in the same environment for a long time and are familiar with the company. This helps them work without a reminder or supervision. They have routines that they exercise making the chores easy and enjoyable to handle. The level of work ethics that the older workers own is high. In most cases, they have a tendency of being punctual which is not common in the younger generation. Absenteeism from work by senior workers is rare unless there are solid reasons behind it. The youthful workers have distractions from social media. The older workers have learned over time to focus on their work. Older workers have great leadership skills that are hard to teach. Teamwork is one of the great virtue that the young generation doesn't understand. The senior workers are usually accountable and responsible for their work. They are ready to answer queries that may arise and are ready to face the consequences of their actions. In addition they commit to their work for the betterment of the company. The younger worker jump from one job opening to the next hoping for better conditions and higher pay. The cost of advertising, screening, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff is high. By retaining the older workers you evade costs and focus on the betterment of your staff members. When having a high job turnover it is a great cost challenge on the skills and experience gained in the company. Work on having a high staff retaining level.
