Nowadays, we can see definite signs of surplus production in almost every industrial sector and thus is leading to environmental damage. What are the some possible solutions to this situation WNqn5
The secondary sector plays a pivotal role in the overall development of an economy. Unlike the past, industries are producing surplus commodities, thus causing environmental degradation. In this essay, I will list out some plausible solutions to curb this problem.
The first and foremost way to alleviate this situation is that the production system in the industries should be demand driven rather than consumer driven. In other words, only those items will be manufactured which are required by the consumer or market. This will ensure optimum usage of natural resources, thus leading to less environmental damage. To exemplify, western countries such as The USA, Canada only produce an adequate number of goods for their customers, thereby ensuring minimum damage to nature and natural resources.
Secondly, industries that produce goods in bulk should be penalised by introducing various laws, and enforcing them. This will ensure that limited products are being manufactured. To cite an example, Asian country: China, has a law that if anyone generates more products than sanctioned then they will be punished either in terms of fines or jail. Therefore, it is a good example for the nations to curtail this issue by law.
To recapitulate, although the development of an economy is ensured by the production of goods, it has negatively affected the environment. Solutions namely changing the overall structure of industries to demand-led and by enforcing strict laws could be implemented.
