Nowadays the number of cars on roads is increasing incrementally. In order to change this trend, strict road tolls should be paid on busy roads. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some individuals believe that imposing tight road tolls is the best solution to address the growing number of private automobiles on the road. From my personal perspective, while I admit that this solution is beneficial to some extent, I strongly believe that there are more viable measures.
On the one hand, strict road tolls could play an integral role in paying for congested roads. To begin with, the application of strict road toll policies is advantageous since it reduces the usage of individual automobiles. This is because citizens have paid more charges for automobiles, such as tax, tolls, and maintenance costs, resulting in fewer car sales due to economic constraints. Therefore, this reduces the number of private automobiles. Pursuant to Transport for London (TfL), when they enact the toll policies in the metropolis regions in London, the traffic flow falls to 15% and 30% for time-saving. However, it is understood that this method has some drawbacks. The increase in the cost of tolls and other categories for their cars leads to a financial struggle for residents. In other words, people are more likely to spend less money on things like electricity bills and insurance. As a consequence, it places a financial burden on households.
On the other hand, I would argue that other feasible actions should be taken into traffic congestion. Firstly, the use of public transport and car sharing programs should be fostered by the ministry. Due to offering large passenger capacities, conserving time, and being less pricey, citizens are more likely to use public transport. In addition, this decline in the figure for private vehicles. Another pragmatic solution is that the government should update the road system. The investment in cutting-edge infrastructures such as tunnels and throughways results in minimizing traffic blockage caused by traffic separation.
In conclusion, in my opinion, I absolutely disagree with this solution. Although strict road tolls could be reduced on roads with heavy traffic, the ministry should be taken into heavy traffic by imposing laws and policies to encourage the use of public transport and boost traffic infrastructure.
