Ans: In the modern era, music becomes a distinguished language of art which is engaged in recreation over the world. Many commentators are of the view that it carries welfares to both the people and nations, wheras, others feel that it may have harmful impact on both. In this essay, I will examine both sides of the argument and provide my overall opinion. Generally speaking, there is a wide range of resons why people believe that music brings advantage to the persons and countries. Perhaps the main reason is in favour of music’s usefullness is because it is a great source of entertainment which can relax human mind and energize the potentiality of doing work more even under pressure. Furthermore, music signifies the art and culture of a society which can draw the attention to the herritage and historical background of a nation even thousands years back. A good illustration of that, when a man travel in a new country, he can explore their culture and historical background by listening their traditional local songs because most of the traditional song’s lyrics are written based on the human behaviours, cultures, habits, linguistics e. t. c Despites these arguments, some people feel that music may have undesirable impression on human civilizations. Firstly, they think that now a days music is reformed by the demand of time and with the technological advancement, varity of instruments are used which often cause noisy sound. Louder music can cause sound pollution which can affect health of the children and elderly people. Secondly, in these days some music like rap, pop and parody song seem to be popular among the younger generation which often distracts the traditional norms and values because of using so many filthy lyrics. In addition, this type of music induces the younger generation often to commit offence and create addiction to drugs or illegal activities. To sum up, music have great influence to the humankind worldwide. Despites argument to the contrary I feel that, music is such a recreational form which plays noteworthy benefit in the human life as well as it’s society. If the Government take appropriate measures to control over the harmful effect of modern music, it will entertain people flawlessly.
