Movies vs Television Shows

Movies vs Television Shows BQrQm
The late 1800s marked the beginning of filmography; nevertheless, it was not until the mid-twentieth century that the industry had diversified from a big screen to a small one. Ever since the black and white era, films and television shows have been interconnected; however, each sector has its own unique differences. Firstly, film and show directors adopt separate approaches when producing their motion pictures. Movies require a huge budget, estimated at a hundred million dollars, as a way to meet global expectations. From cameras to lightning, producers utilize the most advanced technologies and scout professionals to ensure the best quality of their work. Whereas for television shows, as the number of episodes, location of filming, and the levels of actors factor in the expenses, they do not usually stand in the way of production. Secondly, movies and television shows are structured differently to match the audience’s preference. On one hand, the plot of a movie is concluded in a matter of few hours, mostly two-three. In other words, it can be watched in one sitting thanks to the advertisement-free policy. On the other hand, although shows mostly start with one season, they can always secure renewals if the demand is high on them. Moreover, the episodes are interrupted by commercials because they are the main source of income when it comes to television shows. Lastly, the popularity varies greatly between films and television shows. Even though movies’ reputation is determined at the moment of release, it can be said that they are met with a high anticipation as they are produced for a higher scale of audience. In contrast, television shows’ fame grows with time regardless of the fact that they are produced locally. Overall, despite their similar origins, movies and television shows vary in many aspects such as the production, structure, and popularity.
