Nowadays, some individuals are confused about the variations between using laptops and tablets. Both laptops and tablets have distinct features in terms of usage, storage, and operating systems. The first difference is usage. Laptop users usually use laptops for work and gaming this is done through using Excel, editing videos, and playing games. Tablets, on the other hand, are used for light tasks and entertainment, such as watching movies and browsing the web. Also, laptops are bigger and weigh more than tablets. The second difference is storage. Laptops have a huge amount of space, whereas tablets' space is limited. The storage capacity of a laptop can be up to 500 GB and increased by using an external hard disk, which is a data storage device, to store the user's documents, videos, and pictures. In contrast, tablets have a maximum storage of 256 GB, which makes them unsuitable for people who need more space to store their documentation. The last difference is the software system. Laptops' software systems are far superior to those of tablets due to their larger storage capacity. Furthermore, programmers prefer laptops because of their sophisticated software systems, that enables them to run multiple apps concurrently. This is something tablets are unable to do, for their frail and limited systems. Moreover, some applications are not found on laptops. For example, laptops users cannot download Snapchat or Instagram on their laptops, whereas tablet users can. In conclusion, after comparing the differences between using laptops and tablets, customers can choose the device that is suitable for them.
