Movies versus Tv shows

TV shows and movies are both powerful entertainment sources for people all around the globe. This paragraph will discuss two similarities the two share, and two differences that exist between them. Firstly, movies, in terms of script length, are typically longer than TV shows. That is because a film is 90 minutes long on average, and TV episodes are ranged between 30 and 60 minutes long. This shorter time-frame results in fewer pages. While TV shows have shorter scripts for individual episodes, one must take into consideration that they do require more writing in the long run. As for films, they are usually a full story in themselves, with no continuous episodes. Secondly, the limited time-window movies have can make their structural narrative different from TV shows’. That is, a movie has a beginning, middle, and end. A TV show, however, can have multiples of these as an episode can serve as either one of them, which makes TV shows have a much larger narrative structure than films. Finally, one similarity movies and TV shows share is using the same fundamental set of theatrical elements such as scripts, costumes, actors, directors, and stories. Another similarity is that they both offer an emotional experience for the viewer by developing an empathetic relationship with them, which is done through the characters and settings. In conclusion, one can see through the similarities that watching either a film or a TV show can always be a fun experience, regardless of the differences that lie between them.
