Migrations among medical specialists are not uncommon. Doctors and nurses travel from underdeveloped countries to developed nations to find jobs. This essay will discuss what the problems are as well as the preventive measures to ensure no medical staff left the home country.
There are various issues associated with the migrations of medical expertise to other countries. Firstly, there will be no medical treatment in their home country. For example in Iraq, there is a shortage of professional doctors and nurses because they had left their country to find work and move to advance nations. Secondly, when expert leaves the country there will be no one to teach the upcoming generation about the medical things and this will lead the counrty to poorer medical treatments and facilities. In short lack of medical knowledge in a country can be damaging to the country's society.
While the problems seem uncontrollable, there are solutions available. First and foremost, the solution is to limit the number of medical practitioners who can migrate to another country, this will help to increase the medical practice in their country. Furthermore, the underdeveloped nation can improve the facilities of their medical treatment, which will lead the expertise to stay and work in their country. For example, China has advanced technology in medicine, so fewer people migrate to different countries. A proposed limitation on migration or improving facilities can overcome the problems caused.
