The observation states that some ex convicts commit crimes after doing their times in prison. I believe there could be many causes and solution to this. I am going to mention below.
Firstly, I would like to point out that most of the ex convicts goes back to their old criminal lives as soon as they get out of prison. The reason could be drug and alcohol addiction which makes them rob or do criminal activities again. Also, because they do not usually get any financial and emotional support from the society and they are always looked down in the community as per their criminal record. They are not usually given the opportunity to work in a company or a market as people usually don't trust former thieves. One more reason could be that they outgrow fearing law because of the time they spent in the prison. Prison life becomes normal for them and they do not hesitate breaking the rules again.
On the other hand, there could be many solutions to prevent an ex criminal to commit crime again. If government provides some jobs for them and help them with their drug addiction by arranging some consultants for them. Another way could be if police keeps a check on them time to time and keep them under surveillance.
In conclusion, there could be many reasons as to why ex prisoners goes back to stealing again. This situation could be prevented if the government takes some measures.
