It is argued that you may face to a lot of troubles in the society (in both social and practical aspects) when you can not interact with other people in your mother tongue, and learning a foreign language for communication is needed. This essay completely agrees with this statement because of the misunderstandings which may lead to other cultural problems, and suffering from finding a proper job to pay cost of living. Misunderstanding is one of the most frequent problems for some people which are immigrants to a new country, at the same time they have to speak in a new language. For instance, in my country, people have a habit of saying firstly 'no, thanks' for all questions, afterwards they will say their final intention to the question by which will be completely in contrast with the first answer. Hence, in a new country with a new language, If they repeat this habitual behavior, in some situations, they will be forbidden from some social facilities, what they really want to have like some free facilities. This caused because of cultural differences. As an immigrant or a resident in a new country, the first need of you is to find a new job to fulfill your living cost through your salary, while if you could not speak very well in that language, you might have serious problems in your normal life. A recent study found that more than 70 percent of job seekers in a new country failed in the first 5 interviews because of language barriers. For example, my brother in Canada, had faced with a huge problem for paying the rent of his apartment, due to this fact that he could not be succeeded in his job interviews for six months. In conclusion, Although living in a new country will open new opportunities for immigrants, I believe that there are a number of drawbacks because of social and practical problems such as language misunderstandings and hunting a new job in a new workplace.
