It is important for children to learn what is right and what is wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn the distinction. To what extent do you agree? What sort of punishment should be given?

Raising children is a hard task that all parents face. It is essential for parents to teach their kinds right from wrong at an early age, however, it is debatable whether punishment helps in this process or not. I fully agree that some types of punichment is beneficial in raising kids. Furthermore, punishment should not envolve any type of harming or hitting the children, but another ways such as banning certain things from them would help in the learning process. In my opinion, rewards and punichment are important elements in raising children. Our society is built on those two concepts which rewards people who are making something signifgant and punish those who are doing bad to society. As a result, children would be educated that they will be rewarded when they do something right. Otherwise, there can be a punishment if they behaved wrongly. Research has shown that kids are taught by reward and punishemnt learn faster than those who are only rewarded. Hence, I believe that using the right punishment enhances the learing process. Although we have established that punishment is essential in teaching children, some types of punishment harm more than they do good. Choosing the right type of punishment is critical in the learing process of the youngsters Harming or shouting to them can result in a trauma with the young age since they would be shocked. On the other hand, choosing the right punichment such as banning them from the sweets they want will make them feel that they did something wrong, thus, improving their behavior. Another way to punish them is by preventing them from watching videos or playing video games, which will aid their brain in establishing right from wrong without causing any mental or physical harm. This has been proven to aid in guiding the children to the right path. All in all, raising up children is a hard task that parents need to study to perfect. In my view, punichment is most effective when done in the right time and in the right way.
