In today’s world, it is more important to work quickly and risk mistakes than to work slowly and make sure that everything is correct. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. V8blm
In the contemporary world, accuracy and speed play a decisive role in achieving the efficiency of any job. The controversial question is which of the two factors is more important than the other. I believe that doing work with high accuracy, even slowly, is more effective than doing work quickly with the risk of making mistakes. There are quite a few reasons to support this viewpoint, two of which are as follows. First, we can save time and energy. There is little doubt the faster a task is done, the more likely a person can make a mistake. In addition, in appearance, although we have done work quickly and have saved time, we will have to spend much time and energy finding those mistakes and eliminating them. Today’s world is “the age of speed, ” however, it would be a mistake to think that work should be done quickly and carelessly. To illustrate my point, let me provide an example. Assume two companies A and B are competing to produce the same product. The company A produces its product at a faster rate and with less accuracy than the other company and distributes it to the market sooner, but after the supply, customer dissatisfaction forces the company to return, find and repair defects, and then represent the product. Thus, it has to spend more energy, time, and money as well as losing the competitive market to the company B. In this way, by doing tasks slowly and more meticulously, we will prevent them from repeating and fixing the errors, and that is the way we can really save time and energy. Secondly, doing work slowly and making sure that everything is correct can prevent damage caused by negligence. Today, many duties are done in such a way that a small mistake in them can lead to great losses of life and property. For instance, if an automobile design engineer, a surgeon, a pilot, and so on do their duty without taking good care and making a mistake, even if it is done quickly, human life can be endangered. Consider the pilot of an airplane who thinks only of reaching his or her destination quickly, regardless of the comprehensive process by means of which flight safety is guaranteed. In this way, there will be the possibility of problems during the flight, which could endanger not only the life of the pilot but also the passengers’. Therefore, in a great number of jobs, we should focus on accuracy rather than speed. To sum up, I personally believe that although speed is sometimes necessary, doing work quickly and without accuracy can cause wasted time and damage. I contend that a task should be done slowly but with the utmost care. There is a proverb in this regard in my country which says, “Slow and steady win the race. ”
