Hospitals choose to treat younger people first
Hospitals choose to treat younger people first wXr1e
Today it is a popular belief that younger patients are preferred to take care early in medical emergencies. Personally I do not agree with this statement. I believe that treatment on the basis of age is not fair. a number of people would disagree on this statement that aged people have already experienced their lives and younger people should also get that the chance. on the contrary I think that all lives have the same value and a person's age is irrelevant.
The first and the foremost reason is that the decision should be made on the probability of patients recovery. The life who is more likely to get benefit from the treatment should be treated first. The age of a person may part of decision-making process, in a sense that a elderly age woman might have fewer chances of getting recovered. One factor that believe should never be involved in a decision-making process is a person's social or economic status.
The second reason is that the staff at hospitals are obliged to make instant arrangement and have a policy to treat younger body early, these settlement are easily made. On the contrary what if, there is a very tiny age difference, such as five years, should the policy remain the same?
To conclude, the staff working at the hospital should not take that burden of taking judgment of whom to care first despite the difficult job they have. Basically the decision should be made on who is more likely to get recovered and life might only be a part of that.
