Fossil fuels are still the main source of energy used in the world but in recent years, they are being replaced by many countries with renewable energy sources like solar or wind energy. To a certain extent, I agree that replacement has many drawbacks, however, I believe this development brings about several benefits in the long run.
On the one hand, the change requires a high initial cost to develop the device, so this puts a financial burden on the government or the companies. This project needs millions to hundreds of millions of dollars to invest in purchasing and developing solar and wind energy. For example, the average cost of installing a wind turbine is already several million, not to mention they need more than a few hundred. Besides, solar panels also need to spend a large amount of money, so that nowadays the quantities of countries using these sources are quite a little bit
Nevertheless, I also believe that shifting towards using alternative energy will bring up great benefits in the long run. Firstly, because fossil fuels are the main cause of air pollution nowadays of the tremendous CO2 from vehicles. Hence, replacing coal and petroleum with wind or solar power will help to reduce the level of emissions in the atmosphere and improve air quality. In addition, Energy sources like wind are endless, can be used for long -term development of the whole planet.
In summary, despite the limitations of the alternative to new energy, I still think the long-term benefits of its development can be countered.
