In many countries, international tourism has become an important source of income. However, it also has negative effects. Do the benefits of international tourism outweigh the disadvantages? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

International tourism have major role on the contribution of national economy since the proliferation of global aviation in the starting of 21st centaury. Critics advocate to limit the international tourist on the country to control the global crime and illegal trades; however, It is not the solution, government should impose the strong rules and regulation to reduce the adverse side and thus promote the global tourism. First of all, in some countries their economy is totally depend on the international tourist. In such case, it does not only creates the employment opportunities, but also promotes the local cultures, festivals, languages etc. In Nepal, for example, about 200, 000 people directly relies on tourist, some of them work on restaurants, travel agency, trekking organizations, tourist shops etc. There are even higher number of population — indirectly relies on visitors, lives on the way of tourist site—serve them and do other business to sustain their livelihood. Secondly, this is the main source to accumulate the dollar for stabilizing the value of local currency. During the corona virus outbreak, for instance, only countable number of people were come in Nepal thus resulting the smallest proportion of the dollar collection by the Government Banks. As a result inflation on Nepalese rupees has observed and the value of service and goods were automatically soared in exorbitant way. If there were large numbers of tourist came here, this problem would not be happened. There are not always the bright side, however it should not be forgotten that all tourist may have not the same attitude. Some of them might come with intention of illegal activities. In reality, most people involving in the crime —drug and human trafficking—were foreigners. Recently a report published in the famous national daily in Nepal says that almost all of the poisoner, who were in the central jailed involving in the cocaine business were from African Nations. Controlling such illicit drug business is major challenge which faced by Nepal Police. It can be concluded that, there have been many crime associated with international tourism albeit it can be controlled with imposing of strong law and supervision of the foreigner. Thus, we should promote tourism, and the benefit never be outweighed by its disadvantages.
